Map
The Map view displays all contacts with known GPS coordinates on an OpenStreetMap-based map.
Contact Markers
Contacts are shown as colored circle markers with type-specific icons:
| Color | Type |
|---|---|
| Blue | Chat users |
| Green | Repeaters |
| Purple | Room servers |
| Orange | Sensors |
| Red | Your device |
Click a marker to open the contact's detail dialog. Hover to see the contact's name and coordinates.
Filtering
Use the sidebar toggles to show or hide specific contact types (Users, Repeaters, Rooms, Sensors). A Discovered Nodes toggle controls whether nodes from the Discover Nearby Nodes scan are shown. The status label below shows how many contacts are visible on the map vs. total contacts.
Clusters
When multiple contacts are close together at the current zoom level, they are grouped into numbered cluster markers. Click a cluster to zoom in or expand it into individual markers.
Path Visualization
Path overlays can be shown on the map from:
- Device view > Trace Path -- after tracing a route, the path is drawn with SNR labels at each segment midpoint
- Contact details > Show Path on Map -- visualizes the established path to a contact
Path markers use the same colored circles as regular markers. SNR values are color-coded: green (good, ≥0 dB), dim (marginal, -5 to 0 dB), red (poor, <-5 dB).
